Teacher Appreciation Week is May 17-21st. We are grateful for each and every one of our staff members and all that they do for our school. Each team member brings their own unique gifts to our staff to make our school stand out among other preschools. Therefore, we have set aside time to celebrate them! We have several fun events planned for our teachers, including "Spirit Week" with a different theme for each day. We would love our children to dress up with us and help us celebrate their teachers. I would love to have a special treat to serve our teachers each day. If you would like to volunteer to bring something or assist with items for our luncheon, please see me ASAP. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to Room A for winning the Food Drive contest! All of our parents and students pulled together to truly make this a wonderful Thanksgiving for families in need. This year's response was more than ever before with a grand total of 1700 items donated! The children all had such a great heart about it and just kept bringing in more and more food. We should all be proud of what we've accomplished as a team!
Don't forget our Thanksgiving Feast and Festival this week! It's a great time to spend with your child as they experience all the exciting activities that we have planned. Also, bring your appetite and save room for yummy pumpkin pie!

I'd like to thank all of our incredible Parkway School Parents for their help with the Quilt Raffle. It was a huge success and we are so excited to see the new carpet that will be coming to the Big Room!
March was an exciting month of learning for all of our children here at Parkway. Our theme was on bugs and insects, so we all enjoyed going on nature walks and looking for different types of bugs. We also collected our favorite rocks, painted them, and glued them together to make our very own "Rock Caterpillars". This was a really fun and creative project for all of our students!
This week, we used our beautiful "Prayer Garden" for our Spring Pictures. It was a great way to get the kids outdoors and for some really beautiful moments to be captured.
Believe it or not, it is already April! Our theme for this month is "Spring and New Life" with our Christian Emphasis being "Jesus is Alive". This month is packed with fun spring-themed events for you and your family. April 9th is our Easter Parade & Egg Hunt. It starts at 9:00 AM and all of our parents are welcome to stay for the Egg Hunt after the parade. Don't forget though, we will be closed on April 10th in observance of Good Friday.
There are so many great things going on at Parkway School, but I think that my favorite is our new library. Everyone has a 20 minute library time once a week and the kids really love it! We have guest readers that come in to read to the children, so this is quickly becoming something they look forward to each week.
As always, if you have any questions, the Parkway Team is here for you. Please don't hesitate to give us a call or send an email. We are more than happy to help. We are so glad that you are a part of the Parkway Family and we consider it an honor to be trusted as part of yours.

Valentine's Day at Parkway School was, as always, a fun time of learning and joy with all of our children. Can you believe that kids could learn so much just from a holiday? The week leading up to Valentine's Day was spent making Valentine's boxes and crafts. On Friday, we enjoyed love-themed fruits, veggies, and cookies. We also exchanged cards and, of course, each class had their very own Valentine's party. More importantly, in keeping with our theme for this month, we talked about how special it is to have a friend as well as the joy of friendship.
I'd like to say a very special thank you to all of our wonderful parents who brought cookies and goodies for our classroom parties. Thank You!
